Tom and I are so thrilled with our new home in San Francisco, and we are so lucky to have found you! We are happy to say that your last-minute Thanksgiving push to get us into our house (in just five days to close, no less!) really paid off; all seventeen of our guests would have been left to have dinner at McDonald’s otherwise. So we’re not only grateful to you, but our entire extended family has you to thank during this holiday season. (We also hosted 20 people at our house for New Year’s Eve, so having all that extra space really makes for a great party venue.)
Katharine, you were wonderful in assisting us not only with choosing a home that we love, but also helping us find a loan program that worked for our budget. Tom and I know that you have sold many million dollar and multi-million dollar homes, so the attention, time, and energy you put into our less expensive piece of property was truly exceptional. You treated us like million-dollar clients!
We look forward to helping Gordon and Bryan – our favorite life-long neighbors– move into their own house soon. It may sound funny, but you’ve played a part in bringing us closer to our families and friends. And we’ve gotten what we always wanted – permanent life in San Francisco, our favorite city in the world.

I’ve been in my new home for about three months, and I still think about what a great place it is, and how much you helped make this happen. I wanted to wait a month before I sent you a referral so I could think back about what was really the most important thing you helped me with. But then I just got carried away with fixing up the place and work was crazy, and well, here I am finally doing this.
I guess you already know I would strongly recommend you to friends, as I have done that already, but I wanted to express my thanks in writing. I know I would have never gotten into this home if you had not done some extraordinary work with getting my loan papers to the bank and finding out before they did that I wouldn’t be able to get my loan, even though they had pre-approved me and continued to assure me all was OK. Your quick and thorough work (and great referral to a good mortgage broker) really saved me.
But even before that, the thing that impressed me the most was your in-depth knowledge of every building we looked at. You had either been in them personally several times, or you researched as much as possible before we went looking. You knew all of their good points and bad points, HOA issues, any past lawsuits, unusual special assessments, and for how much recent units had sold for. That was invaluable information when buying a condo.
When we made the offer, you worked with the mortgage broker to present to the seller a great package that made my offer stick out. It was once again that extra mile you took to make sure I got what I wanted.
There are many other things that I can think of that make you an outstanding real estate partner, such as your availability and commitment to my search, your understanding of San Francisco real estate tricks and laws, and your friendly, welcoming personality. But those three items are what made my purchase such a great success.
And I do love my new place. I am sending a link to pictures of the deck, which as you know, I was very excited about. You will be amazed to see what Derek has done with it!
